AIR-BEARING MICRO GAS TURBINE

Air-bearing micro gas turbines (MGT) are at the heart of our combined heat and power systems . The compact turbo units with innovative air bearings have the advantage that, in contrast to conventional systems, no lubricants or coolants are required. The turbo group, consisting of the compressor wheel, turbine wheel and connecting shaft, is central. The turbo group is the only moving assembly of the micro gas turbines. In addition to the turbo group, the modules of the micro gas turbine include the generator, power electronics and control system. A high-performance generator is coupled directly to the connecting shaft for constant electrical energy conversion . It converts the mechanical energy generated by the turbine into electrical energy.
